When I was a child you were there
Comforting me always with just a stare
I had shared with you my dreams in life
For we are friends all the time.
If there is a storm you’re always beside me
To calm myself and feel protected
If there is someone who made me cry
You’re always there to make it dry.
When I grew-up, I seldom see you
For I am always away living in waste
Together with friends who pushed me through
In taking the wrong track away from you.
When I came back I never knew myself
My parents grounded me and never listened
To my explanations why I did it
For they’re always right, I’m jus their child.
I cried in my room looking for love
That I never had from mom and dad
I threw everything my hand could touch
But your stare made me stop and I gave you a hug.
